Accredited Laboratory

Precision Water Testing is a member of the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA). Accreditation applies to specific tests listed in our scope of accreditation.

What is ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation?

ISO/IEC 17025 is the single most important standard for testing laboratories around the world. Laboratories that are accredited to this international standard for specific tests have demonstrated that they are technically competent and able to produce precise and accurate test data for those parameters.

Accreditation differs from certification. It is not just about a management system; it is a verification of technical competence. This includes:

  • Technical competence of staff
  • Validity and appropriateness of test methods
  • Traceability of measurements and calibrations to national standards
  • Suitability, calibration and maintenance of test equipment
  • Testing environment
  • Quality assurance of test and calibration data

Our Quality Promise

We understand that the data we provide is used to make critical decisions about health, safety, and regulatory compliance. That is why we participate in rigorous proficiency testing programs to verify our performance against other laboratories.

Defensible Data

Our reports are designed to be clear, traceable, and legally defensible. We maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures from the moment a sample arrives at our facility until the final report is issued.
