Where can I drop off a water sample in Kentville?
The Water Shed’s Kentville sample depot is at I Got Skate, 33 Park Street, Kentville. You can pick up a sample kit and return your water samples there. Precision Water Testing performs the laboratory analysis in Dartmouth; the Kentville depot is not an on-site laboratory. Check the linked depot directory for sample acceptance hours before collecting.
Which water test do I need?
Choose a package based on the parameters you need tested. Bacteria testing checks total coliform and E. coli; metals packages cover a different set of parameters, such as arsenic, uranium and lead. Are depot hours the same as laboratory hours?
No. Precision Water Testing’s laboratory hours are Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–5 PM, and Friday, 9 AM–12 PM. Each depot has its own sample acceptance hours and pickup arrangements. Check the depot directory and confirm any holiday changes before travelling.
How do I arrange pickup after dropping off a sample?
Follow the collection, storage and transport instructions supplied with your kit, complete the online sample submission and payment instructions, then return the sample during your depot’s acceptance hours. Call 902-334-8378 after drop-off so pickup for laboratory testing can be arranged.
How much does testing cost, and when will I get my results?
